JAIN MASALA PAPAD

EASY JAIN VADA PAV RECIPE WITH RED CHUTNEY

PREP TIME: 10-15 mins
COOKING TIME: 15-20 mins

INGREDIENTS:


FOR BATTER:
• 1 cup besan
• 2 tbsp rice flour
• ½ tsp red chilli powder
• Pinch turmeric
• Salt as per taste
• Pinch baking soda
• Water as required
• Oil for frying

FOR VADA MIXTURE:
• 2 tbsp oil
• 1 tsp mustard seeds
• 1 tsp urad dal
• 2 tbsp green chili paste
• Pinch turmeric powder
• 1 tsp coriander powder
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp red chili powder
• ½ cup coriander (chopped)
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• 1 tbsp coriander stem
• 7-8 nos. curry leaves
• Salt as per taste
• 1 bowl of raw banana (boiled & mashed)
• 1 tbsp lemon juice

FOR Dry RED CHUTNEY:
• 1 tbsp sesame seeds
• 1 tbsp roasted peanuts
• 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
• 2 tbsp red chili powder
• 1 tsp amchur powder
• ¼ tsp asafoetida (hing)

FOR ASSEMBLING:
• Vada
• Dry red chutney
• Bun

METHOD:


FOR BATTER:
• In a bowl mix besan, rice flour, baking soda, turmeric powder, salt as per taste, water,
• Prepare a semi-thick batter, to check the consistency take a spoon and dip it in the batter if the batter coats on the spoon mean the consistency is perfect.
• Rest this batter for 20 minutes.

FOR VADA MIXTURE:
• In a pan add oil, and mustard seeds as mustard seeds crackle add urad dal.
• On the other hand in a bowl mix, coriander stem, curry leaves, green chili paste, dry ginger powder, and turmeric powder. Mix this well
• Add this mixture to the pan and saute it properly.
• Then add raw banana, and salt as per taste. Mix this well.
• At last lemon juice. Mix well.
• Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool down to room temperature.

FOR JAIN VADA PAV RED DRY CHUTNEY RECIPE:
• First in a pan dry roast sesame seeds, then add peanuts, and desiccated coconut, and roast everything well.
• Turn off the stove then add red chili powder, amchur powder, hing.
• Mix well. Cool down the masala then grind it in a mixer jar.

FOR ASSEMBLING:
• Take a spoonful of vada mixture make vada out of it, dip the vada in batter and fry the vada on medium flame
