One-Pot Pasta- Red Sauce Pasta Recipe

Many people simply don’t make pasta because of the need to boil them in a separate vessel and then cooking them in another, plus plating and also the risk of them becoming too soggy. I think one-pan pasta will hopefully address this problem. Even my 13-year-old son has started cooking One-Pot Pasta- Red Sauce Pasta Recipe.

 

 

Red sauce pasta is a tasty pasta and mixed vegetable dish with a zesty and bright homemade tomato sauce. Make this pasta with or without vegetables, and it will always be delicious. I like to use vegetables since they bring flavor and nutrients to the dish. This vegetable pasta is particularly suitable for children who enjoy pasta but refuse to eat veggies.

This red sauce pasta is so delicious that you’ll want to make it again and again. Preparing the pasta, sauce, and vegetables together at once takes some time, so if you’re hoping for a speedy meal, follow the recipe.

One-Pot Pasta- Red Sauce Pasta Recipe

 

One-Pot Pasta- Red Sauce Pasta Recipe

Ingredients :

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 5-6 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 onion cut in cubes
  • Salt as per taste
  • 7-8 broccoli florets
  • ¼ cup cubed zucchini,
  • ½ cup cubed red & yellow bell peppers
  • 7-8 cubes mushrooms
  • Some oregano & chilli flakes
  • 4 medium sized tomato (coarsely ground tomatoes)
  • Approx 2 cup water
  • 1 tsp sugar (to balance sourness)
  • 2 cup (approx 200 gm) penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream
  • Some grated cheese and basil leaves

Method :

 

  • Heat up the pan, add some olive oil
  • Add 5-6 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • Add some onion cut in cubes
  • Add salt as per taste and saute
  • Add more veggies :
  • Some chopped broccoli, zucchini, red & yellow bell peppers and mushrooms
  • Add some oregano & chilli flakes and mix it
  • When veggies are slightly cooked, add 4 medium sized tomato (coarsely ground tomatoes)
  • Mix it well, cover the lid and cook for 5-7 mins (do not overcook veggies at this step)
  • Then add approx 2 cup water
  • Add 1 tsp sugar (to balance sourness)
  • When it starts boiling, add 2 cup (approx 200 gm) penne pasta
  • Mix it, cover the lid and cook for approx 7-10 min (check once if pasta is cooked)
  • Add 2 tbs fresh cream when pasta is cooked
  • Turn off the heat and add some cut basil leaves
  • Take it on a serving plate, top with some grated cheese and basil leaves
  • Here’s your Yummilicious, One Pan Pasta ready!!!
