Flatten rice (poha)) is taken by all especially people who are on diet. They are low on calories and a stomach filler also. Dietician generally add them in your diet because of too much of fiber content which aids in losing weight. There are many ways of making flatten rice. Sweet and salty flatten rice recipe/ vegetable poha recipe / poha recipe
- 1 cup flatten rice / poha
- 1 carrot finely chopped
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- ¼ cup peas
- 1 big potato finely chopped
- 1 tsp mustard seed
- 5-6 curry leaves
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- ¼ tsp red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp haldi powder
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 lemon
- ¼ cup roasted peanuts
- Salt to taste
- 4 tbsp oil
- Take poha in a vessel a wash it nicely with light hand.
- Soak it in water for 1 minute
- Strain it
- Now add oil in a pan and put chopped potatoes in it. Fry them till golden brown. Take them out
- Now put mustard seeds and stir till it starts splitting.
- Put carrot, peas, green chilli and curry leaves in it and cook till tender. Keep the vegetables crunchy, do not overcook
- Add tomatoes and cook
- Add salt , sugar, Red chilli powder and coriander powder . Stir well
- Add poha and mix it well with light hand.
- Add lemon juice of one lemon ,roasted peanut and fried potatoes. Mix well
- Sevre hot.
