Honey Chilli Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients for honey chilli potatoes recipe

  • Potatoes (peeled) – 4 (100 grams)
  • Cornflour – 2 tbsp
  • Maida -2 tbsp
  • Whole wheat flour – 2 tbsp
  • Capsicum – 1
  • Sesame seeds roasted – 1 tbsp
  • Onion-1
  • Garlic pods3-4
  • Ginger (grated) – 1/2 inch
  • Dry red chilli – 2
  • Tomato sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Honey – 1.5 tbsp
  • Vinegar – 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce – 1 tsp
  • Salt – less than 1 tsp
  • Oil for frying

Directions

1- Take 4 potatoes, peel them and chop them into vertical slice just like finger chips

2- After chopping them, coat them well with cornflour, maida and whole wheat flour along with a teaspoon of water. And keep it aside.

3- Now we will make sauce for coating the potatoes.

4- Preheat a pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil in it.

5- Put the dry red chillies in it and fry them to make chili oil. Remember to close the lid after putting chili in the oven so there is no irritation in eyes. After frying take them chilli out.

6- Add garlic and ginger and cook for few minutes

7-Now Add a onion ( cut in cubes) and cook for few minutes.

8- Add 2 tablespoon of tomato sauce a teaspoon of soya sauce, less than a teaspoon of salt, a tablespoon of vinegar to it and cook while stirring the sauce.

9- Turn the gas off and add 1.5 tablespoons of honey,

10- Preheat oil for frying potatoes in a wok. Oil should be medium hot and fry potatoes on a high flame

11- Add the potatoes to it for frying one by one and fry until they become golden brown.

12- After frying take them out and place on a plate.

13- Add the fried potatoes and roasted seasame seed to it and mix well.

14- Mix until sauce till the potatoes are coated well.

15- Pour the cooked honey chilli potatoes in a separate bowl and serve them after garnishing with green spring onions.

16- The honey chilli potatoes are ready to served.
