1. Ramsarni Mehra Kapoor, wife of Prithviraj Kapoor

Prithviraj Kapoor was the first person from his family to act. His father Basheswarnath Kapoor was a police officer in the Indian Royal Police. Prithviraj Kapoor was married to Ramsarni Mehra Kapoor, better known as Ram, in 1923. Prithviraj and Ram had three sons, Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor and all of them inherited acting from their father. They also have a daughter, whose name is Urmi.

2. Raj Kapoor’s wife Krishna Malhotra

Raj Kapoor, the eldest born to Prithviraj Kapoor, is known to be a prolific actor as well as a director. Raj Kapoor married Krishna Malhotra, the daughter of his father’s maternal uncle, in May 1946. The marriage was arranged by the family as they wanted a traditional girl. After this Raj Kapoor was rumored to be associated with many heroines like Nargis, Vyjayanthimala and even Padmini. Raj and Krishna Kapoor have three sons and two daughters. Two sons, Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor became successful actors, the youngest Rajiv Kapoor did not taste success at the box-office. Raj and Krishna have two daughters, Ritu Nanda and Reema Kapoor Jain. While Reema is happily married, Ritu breathed her last on January 14, 2020.

3. Shammi Kapoor’s first wife Geeta Bali

Prithviraj Kapoor’s second son Shammi Kapoor was the heartbeat of many girls of his time. He got married to Geeti Bali at Banganga Temple in Mumbai. In 1956 Shammi Kapoor and Geeta Bali were blessed with a son, Aditya Raj Kapoor. Unfortunately, after only 10 years of their marriage, Geeta Bali succumbed to smallpox in 1965.

Neela Devi belonged to the royal family of Bhavnagar state at that time and her parents share a good bond with the Kapoor clan. Shammi Kapoor and Neela Devi were married on 27 January 1969 and she was 10 years younger than him.

4. Shashi Kapoor’s wife Jennifer Kendall

Shashi Kapoor’s heart fell on a girl from England. Shashi Kapoor met Jennifer Kendall in Calcutta in 1956 while working in theatre. After a few meetings, Shashi and Jennifer realized that they love each other. Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer got married on July 2, 1958. Later, they were also seen acting together in a few films. They had three children, Kunal, Karan and Sanjana Kapoor. Jennifer died of cancer in 1984. Shashi Kapoor also passed away on 5 December 2017 at the age of 79.

5. Randhir Kapoor’s wife Babita

Raj Kapoor’s eldest son Randhir Kapoor had a lot of success in B-Town. During the shoot, Randhir fell in love with his co-star Babita. Randhir and Babita tied the knot on 6 November 1971. Three years later, in 1974, he was blessed with his first child, Karisma Kapoor. Their second daughter Kareena Kapoor was born in 1980. In 1988, Babita left Randhir with their daughters. Although the two did not divorce each other, they lived separately for almost two decades.

6. Rishi Kapoor’s wife Neetu Singh

The Chintu boy of Bollywood i.e. Rishi Kapoor fell in love with Neetu Singh, with whom he was paired in many films. Apparently, Raj Kapoor had gone to meet the Singh family. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh married on January 22, 1980 and have two children, Riddhima Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor is a Bollywood actor. He married Alia Bhatt yesterday. Riddhima is married to a businessman from Delhi and she is a famous jewelery designer. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s love story came to an end on April 30, 2020 as the actor died at the age of 67.

7. Aarti Sabarwali, wife of Rajiv Kapoor

Raj Kapoor’s youngest son Rajeev Kapoor aka Chimpoo also ventured into acting. His acting career was almost ruined with few hits like Ram Teri Ganga Maili. Rajiv Kapoor married an architect Aarti Sabharwal in 2001, but they got divorced two years later in 2003. Rajiv Kapoor was only 58 years old when he passed away on February 9, 2021.

8. Preeti, wife of Aditya Raj Kapoor

The son of Shammi Kapoor and Geeta Bali, Aditya Raj Kapoor is leading a very different life. His stepmother Neela Devi is a doting mother and never had children for the sake of Aditya and his sister Kanchan. Aditya Raj Kapoor’s guruji arranged his marriage with Preeti in 1982 at Guruji’s ashram in the Himalayas and it was attended by all the Kapoors.
