7 Famous Bollywood Divas Who Successfully Married ‘Once-Married’ Men

Bollywood has had its fair share of controversies and scandals. Managing a profession while married to a movie star is difficult enough, but managing your own acting career while married to a celebrity is even more difficult. Many Bollywood families had enacted archaic laws for their daughters and daughters-in-law (The Kapoor family men and their aversion towards their wives working in the film industry after marriage). Married stars have even been known to marry other ladies while still married to their current partners (Salim Khan and Helen).
7 Famous Bollywood Divas Who Successfully Married ‘Once-Married’ Men
Here is a list of divas who didn’t care about ‘‘log kya kahenge’’ and married the men they loved:
Kareena Kapoor – Khan

Both the Kapoor and Khan dynasties are considered royalty in Bollywood. And in the case of Saif Ali Khan, he is royalty in his own right. The youthful Nawab of Pataudi had previously married Amrita Singh, a woman 12 years his senior. Despite his family’s objections, Saif purportedly married the actress. Unfortunately, their marriage only lasted 13 years until they divorced. Before meeting his future wife, Kareena Kapoor, on the set of their film Tashan, Saif was linked to a number of women. The couple dated for six years before deciding to marry and start a family on October 16th, 2012. Taimur Ali Khan, Kareena’s and Saif’s son, is theirs. Sara, Saif’s daughter, has also spoken up about her mother’s friendship with Kareena, claiming that they get along swimmingly. The blended family is known for spending a lot of time together and is a very close-knit group of people.
Sridevi

Boney Kapoor was married when Sridevi fell in love with him. That didn’t stop them from meeting up and seeing each other in secret. The actress, however, discovered she was expecting a child and allegedly requested Boney Kapoor to leave his family for her. The pregnancy and affair were widely publicised, and the Mr India actress was dubbed a home wrecker. Boney divorced his previous wife and left his two children with her to marry Sridevi, and the two married on June 2, 1996. Boney Kapoor’s ex-wife and children, as well as his new wife and him, had a strained relationship, which was exacerbated when he started a new family with Sridevi. Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor are the couple’s two daughters. Unfortunately, the legendary actress died in early 2018, just a few months before her older daughter Janhvi’s big screen debut. Boney’s older children, Arjun and Anshula, stepped in and helped the family cope with the loss at this trying period. The family has recently made apologies, and Arjun and his half-sister have even featured on Koffee With Karan.
Hema Malini

Dharmendra married Parkash Kaur in 1954 when he was still a young man. Sunny, Bobby, Vijeeta, and Ajeeta were their four children. This did not deter the experienced actor from pursuing Hema Malini, who was vibrant and young at the time. The lovely young lady was dubbed the “Dreamgirl of Bollywood.” Despite his declaration of love for her, Hema Malini refused to pursue him because he was already married. So the actor requested a divorce from Parkash, but she refused. Because he truly desired to marry Hema Malini, the actor converted to Islam in order to have two wives. Esha and Ahana Deol are the couple’s two daughters.
Shabana Azmi

Shabana Azmi is a Pakistani actress. Honey Irani and Javed Akhtar married in 1972 and had two children, Farhan and Zoya Akhtar. The couple was head over heels in love, but after a few years of marriage bliss, Javed fell for Shabana Azmi. Honey begged Javed to separate from her after word of his affair became public, and the two began living separately. Six years later, Javed and Honey divorced, and he married Shabana in 1984. Despite their initial displeasure with their father’s decision to remarry, Zoya and Farhan warmed up to Shabana after seeing how kind she was. Shabana is very proud of both of her step-children, and the family is on good terms now.
Lara Dutta

In February 2011, the former Miss World married ace tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi. The athlete had previously been married to Shvetha Jaishankar, a model. The model accused Mahesh of adultery, alleging that Lara was to blame for her marriage’s collapse, claiming that the actress and Mahesh dated while she and Mahesh were still married.
Juhi Chawla

The love tale of Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta is legendary. Jay was married to Sujata Birla, Yash Birla’s sister, before meeting Juhi. Sujata was tragically killed in a plane crash in Bangalore, India, in 1990. During this difficult time, the vibrant actress met Jay, and the two became pillars of support and finally fell in love. The couple married in 1995 after a five-year engagement during which Juhi’s mother and brother both died.
Helen

Despite the fact that Salim Khan was still married to his first wife, Salma, the woman who brought cabaret to Bollywood married him. Salim’s children finally welcomed Helen as a second mother, despite the fact that it took some time for them to adjust. Helen and Salma, who are thought to have a sisterly closeness, also patched things up. Helen gets along swimmingly with all four of her stepchildren, and she adores them all.
Marriages do not always work out, and that is a harsh reality of life. Infidelity, on the other hand, cannot be justified, and children of divorced parents have a difficult time processing some truths about their parents. While it’s necessary to pursue your love interest, it’s also safe to state that you should be certain of the commitment you’re making when you marry.
